  1. Remove Excel sheet protection and add it back again…..all without even knowing the password. In this video I'll show you 3 ways to crack password protection on Excel sheets. make the changes you want, and then re-protect the sheet again afterwards. I go through 3 methods, getting increasingly more sophisticated and more robust.

  2. Thank you so much. This is by far the clearest explanation and worked to a T and on a Mac. Really really helpful.

  3. Hello, I canot add a sheet to insert vba code so I tried third method and removed lines as you advised but still password is not removed. As soon I click on file name in VBA editor it ask for password. Any help please?

  4. my excel file is getting corrupted if use method 3 as soon as i unzip and zip it. method 2 freeze the excel and i cant use F11 since it protected.

  5. You're awesome! Tried the steps using other videos for xlsm and yours is the only one that worked! Method 3 is nice by the way. Thank you!

  6. Awesome. Thank´s a lot for the 3rd tip. Just a advice, some free compressing programs do not write it correctly when compacting the file again, causing the file to be "corrupt". The best way it´s to use Windows native compressing tool.

  7. My Excel file had a password over it. I tried to try the zip method, but it is being corrupted. I used 7zip to open .zip contens, which delivered me a folder called 'Data Spaces' and two files namely 'encryption package' & 'encryption info'. have ben trying for a month. Its an important file. Please guide me further. @Up4Excel

  8. Your video is educative and i have a password that i want to recovery i was unable to apply the methods on my excel protected sheet and would need your help

  9. I used the foolproof method and crashed my file. lost my job. lost my house. dog ran away. wasn't even my dog

  10. I tried method 3 and got stuck at opening up the xml file to notepad. For some reason the code turned into all symbols when I opened the xml in a notepad.. i'm not sure why

  11. When I do method 3 in Excel on my mac, the file is corrupt "The workbook cannot be opened or repaired by Microsoft Excel because it is corrupt." I don't get why it seems to work for some people and not others, since this and similar methods have never worked on my mac. I'm testing method 2, to see if it works. Right now it's running for a few minutes on my test sheet with a simple password to see if I can try it on a more complex worksheet. Thanks for the video.

  12. No need for all these, just open the file using google sheets and all the vb code will be bi-passed then re save back to excel – done!
